Tracking internal technician activity is crucial for improving service delivery, optimizing productivity, and gaining deeper insights into your workforce. With Ecotrak’s Time Tracking for Internal Techs, organizations can now capture detailed technician time logs across their day—from the moment they clock in, to drive time, on-site work, breaks, and clocking out.
This feature addresses a common need among customers: full visibility into technician work hours and activity.
Why Time Tracking Matters
Many organizations need better visibility into how their internal technicians spend their time. The ability to monitor:
Total clocked hours per day
On-site time per work order
Drive time per work order
This also enable managers to evaluate productivity, identify areas for improvement, and make informed operational decisions.
Key Benefits
Here are the top benefits of enabling internal time tracking:
Performance Insights: Evaluate internal tech performance using accurate and consistent time data.
Full-Day Time Logging: Track a technician's entire day from clock-in to clock-out, including breaks, drive time, and work time.
Accurate Reporting: Generate daily and weekly time sheets for technicians, including wage-based cost tracking.
Work Order-Level Tracking: Drive and on-site time entries are tied directly to specific work orders.
Role-Based Permissions: Ensure proper access control so users only see or manage what they're authorized to.
Improved Operational Oversight: Use technician time data to streamline scheduling, workload distribution, and performance reviews.
